Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
May 18, 2023
Buffalo wings are the perfect pub snack, party appetizer, or game-day grub. Crisp and golden brown with a chewy bite and a piquant, peppery finish, they’re a handheld treat that most guests (vegans and vegetarians aside) can’t resist.
Whether you’re following a plant-based lifestyle, trying to eat more veg, or just craving a little something different, these delicious cauliflower bites offer all the bold and creamy Buffalo flavor of traditional wings without the meat. The secret to their crave-worthy taste is Primal Kitchen Mild & Sweet Buffalo Sauce made with cayenne pepper sauce and real mango puree, but you can sub in our Original or Hot varieties if you like things a little spicy.
Coated in a combination of almond flour, spices, and Califia Farms Zero Sugar Oat Milk, these “wings'' aren't made for frying. Instead, we get the perfect crispy texture by lightly dusting them with gluten-free panko and oven-baking. Serve with our Plant-based Ranch Dressing or additional Buffalo sauce for dipping, and then listen for the cheers of the appreciative crowd.

Plant-based eaters, rejoice! These snackable “wings” are made with cauliflower, oat milk, and Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce for a crisp and addictively tasty appetizer with a bold, sweet-meets-heat flavor. Baked instead of deep-fried, they deliver all the crunch of traditional wings—minus the greasy fingers.
Ingredients
1 large head of cauliflower, florets only
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
¼ cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs, optional
-
½ cup Primal Kitchen Mild & Sweet Buffalo Sauce
Directions
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Combine almond flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and Califia Farms Zero Sugar Oat Milk in a medium-sized bowl.
- Add cauliflower florets to the bowl and dredge thoroughly.
- Place a baking rack on top of a metal baking sheet. Add cauliflower to the rack, being sure to separate the florets so they don’t touch. Sprinkle with half of the gluten-free panko breadcrumbs, if desired.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 450°F.
- Remove from the oven and use tongs to place the florets in a bowl. Drizzle with Primal Kitchen Mild & Sweet Buffalo Sauce and toss lightly until coated.
- Using tongs, place the florets back on the baking rack/tray. Sprinkle them with the other half of the panko breadcrumbs and place the baking tray back in the oven.
- Cook for 25 more minutes or until crispy. Serve and enjoy!
