Ingredients
1/2 lb tilapia fillets
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp salt
Dash of black pepper
-
Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Spray
8 grain-free tortillas, warmed
3 cups purple cabbage slaw mix
1 Roma tomato, diced (optional)
3 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro, longer stems removed
-
4 Tbsp Squeeze Chipotle Lime Mayo
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges
Directions
Mix seasoning and 1 Tbsp. lime juice in a bowl and brush fish evenly with mixture.
Coat skillet with avocado oil spray and cook on medium heat 3 to 3-1/2 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes off easily with a fork.
Drizzle lime juice on for the last minute of cooking. Use a fork to flake the fish into bite-sized pieces.
Re-coat skillet with avocado oil spray and warm tortillas until slightly crispy.
Top tortillas with fish, cabbage slaw mix, diced tomatoes, and cilantro. Squeeze chipotle lime mayo on top to finish them off.
Serve with a lime wedge and enjoy!

Level up your Taco Tuesday with this easy fish taco recipe featuring one of the most widely available catches: tilapia. Mild and slightly sweet, this white fish is the perfect vehicle for our kicky Chipotle Lime Mayo, which adds a subtle smoky flavor to these fresh and zesty tacos. If you're not a fan of this freshwater fish, you can sub in your favorite white fish, shrimp, or even homemade breaded fish filets for extra crunch.
We prepped our tilapia with cayenne, cumin, and a splash of fresh citrus to seal in the flavor and added crisp cabbage for extra texture. With just 7 minutes of cooking time, this easy no-hassle recipe is great for quick weeknight dinners or a casual lunch with friends. You can even whip it up on Cinco de Mayo, paired with ceviche or queso, for a Mexican-inspired fiesta.
