This crispy, cheesy, melty open-faced chicken sub is the best of two worlds: french bread pizza and oven-baked hoagie. Let the chicken cook while you work or catch up on shows, then bake up a delicious sandwich in minutes. Slice and serve as an appetizer or snack — kids and parents love it!
Pro Tip: Skip to the notes for a quick shortcut with pre-cooked chicken.

Ingredients
4 chicken breasts
-
1 cup Primal Kitchen Chicken Dippin’ Sauce, plus more for topping
1-2 tablespoons garlic powder
Pinch of sea salt and black pepper, to taste
-
2 tablespoons Primal Kitchen Pure Avocado Oil
1 French loaf (or any rustic bread)
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 avocado, sliced
Directions
Place chicken breasts in slow cooker with Chicken Dippin’ Sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and avocado oil.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until meat is tender and internal temperature reaches at least 165°F.
Shred the cooked chicken with a fork. In the meatime, preheat your oven to low broil.
Slice your loaf in half horizontally.
Using tongs, place the shredded meat in even piles on the bread halves. Top with cheese slices.
Place the bread halves onto a metal baking tray and set in the oven. Broil for 2-4 minutes until cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
Top with a drizzle of Chicken Dippin’ and sliced avocado. Cut open-faced sandwich into slices and serve!
