Mayo in coffee may sound crazy, but it’s a trend that blazed through social media faster than a drip coffeemaker. Maybe you’ve heard that a certain pro football player loves his morning brew with a splash of mayonnaise. Or perhaps you’ve always wondered if there’s a way to get the extra richness of bulletproof coffee without the butter and MCT oil. Whatever intrigued you about the idea of a mayo mocha, let’s start by saying that it’s exactly what it sounds like—a chocolate-flavored coffee drink infused with mayonnaise.
It’s worth noting that we’ve given this somewhat controversial viral trend an elevated makeover by using our delicious Primal Kitchen Mayo made with real ingredients like avocado oil and Certified Humane® cage-free eggs (original flavor, of course—you really don’t want Chipotle Lime in your coffee). It has a homestyle flavor and velvety texture that makes it perfect for spreading on sandwiches or mixing into salads, but here it adds creaminess and a flavor that combines with the chocolate coffee's bitter notes for a unique salty-sweet experience. Love it or leave it, we bet everyone following your social feed will be talking about it for weeks to come!
