If there was ever a dish that encapsulates the essence of “treat yo’ self,” it’s these decadent fries. Our easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries combine the salty, savory delight of perfectly crisped potatoes with all the crave-worthy flavors of the signature restaurant sandwich. We elevated typical pub fare by subbing in sweet potatoes drizzled with Ranch Dressing made with real ingredients and no cane sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Ingredients
- 6-7 medium white sweet potatoes (about 3 pounds)
-
1/4 cup Primal Kitchen Pure Avocado Oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1.25 cups shredded chicken (about 1/2 pound cooked)
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1/3 cup Primal Kitchen Ranch Dressing
- 8 slices of cooked bacon
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar (or similar) cheese
- Green scallion and/or chives, to garnish
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Thinly slice the sweet potatoes into ¼-½ inch thick strips.
- In a bowl, whisk together the avocado oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss the sweet potato fries in the oil mixture, then lay them out on a parchment-covered sheet pan.
- Roast for 20 minutes, then flip them over or shake the pan up and place back in the oven for 10-20 minutes, or until they are browned and slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.
- In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, dill, parsley, lemon juice and ranch dressing. Chop the cooked bacon. Distribute the chicken mixture and chopped bacon all over the sweet potatoes on the sheet pan. Sprinkle the cheese on top of everything.
- Place back into the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with green scallions and/or chives, and serve alongside additional ranch dressing.

- Pro Tip: White sweet potatoes will give you the crispiest fry. If you can’t find white sweet potatoes, you can use Japanese sweet potatoes. You can use orange sweet potatoes, but they may need a slightly longer cooking time and will not be quite as crispy as the other types of potatoes.

For those times when you crave the salty, crispy, crave-worthy taste of oven-baked fries, this easy Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries recipe hits all the delicious notes of the classic restaurant side dish. Our no-dairy Ranch Dressing, crafted with cage-free organic egg yolks, provides that unmistakable herby creaminess and a light tang that lingers on the palate, while salty bacon and shredded chicken (we used a pre-made rotisserie bird for convenience) provide a perfect protein base.
We also made some other simple swaps to add more interest and value to the typical loaded fries recipe, like using white sweet potatoes and focusing on our delicious dressing for flavor rather than using pre-made seasoning packets or blue cheese crumbles—the latter of which is polarizing enough to raise a few eyebrows and close a few mouths.
Whether you bake up this savory snack on game day, family game night, or just as a weekend treat, your whole team will love diving right in! Serve with additional ranch for dipping, or pour individual single-serving bowls of our Unsweetened Ketchup or A Tad Sweet Ketchup for an added kick of zesty tomato and vinegar flavor.
