Looking for a quick dinner that’ll please even picky kids? Made with ground turkey and Primal Kitchen condiments, this juicy air-fryer burger will be a favorite with the whole fam. To make it even more convenient to whip up on a weeknight, we used our air fryer spray that's pre-seasoned with garlic, onion, and black pepper.
Ingredients
1 pound dark meat ground turkey
1/3 cup minced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
-
1 Tablespoon Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil
-
1 Tablespoon Primal Kitchen A Tad Sweet Ketchup, plus more for topping
- 2 teaspoons coconut aminos
-
2 teaspoons Primal Kitchen Dijon Mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 grain-free buns
- 4 green leaf lettuce leaves
- 4-8 slices of tomato
- 4 slices red onion
-
1 Tablespoon Primal Kitchen Mayo
-
Directions
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Form the mixture into 4 balls, and flatten the balls into 4 patties 1/2-3/4 inch thick.
Spray patties with Primal Kitchen Air Fryer Oil spray and arrange them on the basket. Depending on the type and size of your air fryer, you may have to cook 2 at a time.
Set your air fryer temperature to 350°F and let the patties cook for 6-8 minutes. Once the time is up, flip the burgers over and continue cooking until the internal temperature of the burgers reach at least 165°F.
Once the burgers are fully cooked, assemble your turkey burgers on a bun (or you could use lettuce wraps), with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Squeeze on some additional ketchup and some mayo if desired. Serve alongside sweet potato fries.
Recipe Note
- The cooking time will vary a bit depending on the type of air fryer you have. Some machines run a bit hotter than others, so feel free to reduce the temperature down to 325°F if you feel the outsides of the patties are browning too quickly.
- Don't have Primal Kitchen Air Fryer Oil spray on hand? Spray patties with our original Avocado Oil Spray and add 1 tsp garlic and 1/2 tsp black pepper to the burger mix.

Turkey burgers are the perfect substitute for traditional burgers when you need a quick swap-out. Thick and meaty, with a subtler taste than their beefy cousins, a good turkey burger leaves you full and satisfied rather than wanting more. The secret is using dark meat turkey that has enough fat to keep the burger moist during cooking in an air fryer, so avoid the common 97-99% lean ground turkey breast and reach straight for a blend that includes dark meat as well.
Prepped with our pre-seasoned air fryer oil spray, this air-fried turkey burger is ready for a bun or lettuce wrap in about 15 minutes. Top it with fresh-cut tomato, lettuce, onion, and your favorite Primal Kitchen condiments (we love ours with classic or Chipotle Lime Mayo) and serve with fries for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that puts takeout burgers to shame.
