What makes Primal Kitchen Mayo different from regular mayo?

Our mayo is made with avocado oil instead of the canola or soybean oils used in traditional mayo. We chose avocado oil for its good fats and neutral flavor.

Is your vinegar derived from corn?

No. We use vinegar derived from non-grain sources.

How long does Primal Kitchen Mayo last?

Our mayo has a Best If Used By date printed on the package. Please refrigerate after opening, and enjoy. Refrigerated condiments are best enjoyed within 4-6 weeks after opening.

Why did my Mayo separate?

Because our mayo is made with real food ingredients, the emulsification may break and the product may separate due to temperature fluctuations (usually during the colder months). Please contact customer service at 888-774-6259 or email info@primalkitchen.com if this happens, and we will be happy to help!

How should I store mayo?

To avoid separation, keep your mayo at room temperature in a cabinet or pantry before opening. Once opened, pop it in on one of the condiment shelves on the inside of your fridge door where it is slightly warmer.

Is the squeeze mayo bottle recyclable?

The bottle is made of PET, which is widely recyclable (#1, PET/PETE). The cap is made of polypropylene (PP), which is recyclable in areas that accept #5 recyclables. More information regarding what is accepted in your area can be found at: https://how2recycle.info/check-locally
